Unilever's Baltimore Spreads Plant was tasked with bringing their plant more in line with the Unilever design language. The Signman won the contract for the work. This was a very large-scale project that went from street-side signage to production-line signage.
After obtaining the Unilever brand guide, I toured the entire plant and made recommendations as to what could be done to more effectively brand their facility. I had an excellent working relationship with my Unilever contact and I feel we accomplished a great deal. We started with the production-line signage because it was the most important to production, and gradually worked outwards towards more aesthetic redesigns, including frosted vinyl Unilever logos on the entrance glass. As a result, the plant is more cheerful (the employees were all excited about the changes), and the plant is now effectively branded with the Unilever design language.
